We have now reached over 20,000 film articles that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the {{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class and importance.
Last month, various members in the project began helping in a film infobox backlog for many of the project's articles. In the last week, members have brought down the initial request from over 1,000 requests down to 300. Now we have added the {{needs film infobox}} template to several hundred foreign films and our requests are back up to 1598 (as of publishing). Please jump in and assist with the backlog focusing on any articles you like from the variety of countries listed. By adding infoboxes to our articles, we are helping to improve the quality of our articles. Any help is greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!
Our Peer Review Department has a bit of a backlog and would benefit from help! It's easy. Just read the article and suggest changes like more references or more copy-editing; it works best when many people contribute and review.
The Collaboration Department started a new article this month, The Maltese Falcon (1941 film). The change from the previous collaboration, Gladiator (2000 film), happened almost a week late due to an accidental oversight of the change date. That blunder puts the end of this fortnight's collaboration at March 10.
Spotlight Update: Multiple films and film-related articles have reached GA and FA status in February 2007.
Although many users have been active this month, only two users have received the WikiProject Films Award. PhantomS for catching the Collaboration mistake, among other things, and High Heels on Wet Pavement for dedicated involvement in adding infoboxes. You can help commend the dedicated work of members of the project by giving the WikiProject Films Award.
